Hello People! Seems like we’ve been too busy planning for the next Burnout360, that we’ve neglected to post the latest happening about this event! Casero Events, the organizer, is actively making sure Burnout360 postponement will not go in vain! We too share the pain and frustration of local sabah drift enthusiast when decided to postpone this event for well over 1 year.

As all you know, last year around mid september, Casero Event Managing Director( Mr. Steve) have flown to Thailand to meet up with Kiki (Thai Drift King) . Although no solid promise was made, Kiki was keen on helping develop Sabah Drift development. At the same time last year, through the help of Kiki , Mr. Steve also managed to link up with Tengku Djan(Malaysia Drift King) via phone to talk about Burnout360. Since then they’ve been in touch with each other to talk about Burnout360 event update. Not only until recently they’ve meet face to face to discuss further more about the event.

Venue wise, we are still trying to identify a suitable battle ground for the drift challenge. Fret not, we have already a few options , just need to make sure the choice is perfect.

There you have it! We can tell you this much only, since all the other details is still very much private and confidential! 😛 Keep your fingers crossed ! We might be able to see world class drift performance by Kiki & Djan!

Till Then! Be safe!

Although disappointed by the postponement decision, Casero Events is keen to look on the brighter side. By postponing the event, we will have more time to to prepare for the second edition of Burnout360 and bring in more local & international professional drifter to take part.

To show our commitment in bringing in the pros, Steve(organizing chairman) recently flown down to Thailand to meet up with Thailand Drift King,  Sak Nana Kiki.

Although nothing is finalized yet, Kiki is said to be willing to help develop drifting in Sabah. During the meeting itself, Kiki personally contacted our own Malaysia Drift King, Tengku Djan, to get him involved with Burnout360. So there you have it, 2 possible big names in the Asia/world drifting scene that might be a part of Burnout360.

Excited? You should be! If any of you think you can drift better than our current Burnout360 champ, then this is your time to prove it.

Sabah Drift Challenge Postponed

Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Drift Challenge, which was initially scheduled for next month has been postponed to a later date, the organiser, Casero Events, announced yesterday.

Now it is likely to be held early next year, the earliest.

Among the reasons for the postponement was the unavailability of a suitable venue.

The challenge, dubbed BURNOUT360 was initially scheduled to take place at the Sabah Ports open area, but the organiser was told the venue is unavailable.

Organising Chairman Steve Johnny Mositun said they apologise for all the inconvenience caused especially to their sponsors, who were expecting the event to take place next month.

“Now, we are left with no choice but to look for another alternative.

We have done that and until everything is finalised, only then will we announce the new venue.

He said that they are now looking at early next year to stage the event.

Casero Events, was supposed to co-host the challenge together with the City Hall, in collaboration with KK D1 Club.

“Since now that we have more time to prepare, we hope that it would help us achieve our main objective of promoting motorsport locally or internationally and stage it with quality.

Steve added that they are also trying to bring world class drifters for the challenge.

In fact, Steve revealed Asia’s No 1 and No 2 drifters, Kiki (from Thailand) and Djan (Malaysia), have both agreed to be part of Burnout 360.

“We firmly believe that their presence will surely make BURNOUT360 merrier with their world class performances.

“This would eventually help us convince our sponsors to chip in more for Sabah’s motorsport industry.

Steve said that the staging of BURNOUT360 would be a stepping stone for motorsport in Sabah especially drifting to develop further.

He went on to say that Casero Events’ vision and mission is clear and simple and that they want to make and turn Sabah into one of the venue for the Asia Drift Series, which if happens would help boost sports tourism for the State.

“We will be appointing travel agency to help us promote Sabah as sports tourism attraction internationally.

“Interestingly, if this turns into reality, it will indirectly create business opportunities for the people of Sabah.

“So what we need now is the good cooperation between Casero Events and the government to be strengthened because one of the main obstacles in promoting the sport is venue.

“As such, we humbly hope that the government will help us on this.

With proper planning and discussion, we believe that we can reach amicable solution to end this problem,” said Steve.
